Nexans Academy 2024 : Official opening of training sessions for electricians in Ivory Coast !

Nexans Ivory Coast  has launched the 4th edition of free training sessions for electricians and students graduating from electrical studies. With a new feature this year! A competition to give two electricians an internship in our factory in the new industrial zone of “Yopougon”.

Thanks to our historical partner, the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (EICD), more than 320 electricians and students from the Bonoua Technical  Center have been trained on  “electrical safety in building and industrial facilities” .

This stage in Bonoua marks the beginning of the tour of bands that will crisscross  from 17 May to June 22, the other cities of  Abengourou, Yamoussoukro, San Pedro and Abidjan.

Initiated in 2021, Nexans Academy trains thousands of electricians each year who rediscover the new standards in the electricity sector, good practices and safety instructions useful to achieve safe installations for goods and people..

In addition to This training program, the electricians’ competition was organized with the aim of helping the integration of young electricians from technical school, in companies in Ivory Coast. 

An initiative that strengthens the partnership between the Nexans Foundation and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (EICD).

Thank you to all the participants for their commitment, to the priest TANOH Athanase, Director of the Technical  Center of  Bonoua for his wise advices, to all the teachers and supervisors of the Technical Center and the EICD who made the trip, then to our main trainer Mr. SORO Yassongui, Electrical Engineer and Senior Analyst, for his valuable expertise and sharing of experience.
